HERBAL TEA
Herbal Tea is actually not a tea botanically. Teas are the black, green, and white. Herbal teas are really "infusions" or usually referred to as "tisane". Here, we'll stick with the common name "herbal tea".
Generally, the herbal teas we sell have health benefits. Most are also "one item" tea sold "loose". We try to keep it simple and this way you reap the most benefit from the herb that's doing you the most good. We carry very few blends and even then they are usually only 2 or 3 items only.
All the tea can be drunk plain or you can add sweetener and cream/milk for a different flavor but still receive the benefits. All the tea is naturally caffeine-free and guaranteed pesticide-free. In most cases you can actually use the herbs twice for a second cup.
Typically the ratio is 1 or 2 teaspoons of herbs per 8 ounces of water. Amount of seeping time is a personal thing but sometimes, the longer the better, especially so with Nettle tea. Minimum is 3-5 minutes. Nettle tea should stay 10-20 minutes or even longer. Place a cover over the tea to keep warm until you're ready to drink.
